Exceptional Journeys is a website created by and for travellers in their 50+ age bracket. Jeff and Kat want to inspire and encourage other older travellers by sharing stories from their own travels. With the many difficulties the travel industry is experiencing since Covid 19 we believe we should get back out and discover the amazing experiences the world has to offer.
To that end we are pleased to offer escorted tours to some of our favourite destinations. Find them on Exceptional Journeys Tours.
So who are Jeff and Kat? Glad you asked!
Jeff grew up on the outskirts of Sydney, Australia and Kat grew up in the Eastern Belgian province of Limburg. Both developed a passion for travel very early on. Of course when they set off on their respective journeys from opposite ends of the planet, neither knew the other existed. After travelling and working solo in different parts of the world for 20 years their paths finally crossed in 2010 in the Australian Outback, in the town of Alice Springs. They now spend their time living in both Melbourne, Australia and near Antwerp, Belgium while still travelling the world together. True to form they married on a magical white sand beach on deserted island in the magnificent Cook Islands in 2018.
A timeline showing their respective stories can be seen in How did we get here? It’s kind of an “About Us” but a bit more. Over time stories will be added to the blog pages that look back at some of those adventures a bit more in detail as well as travel advice and there will also will be opportunities to join Jeff and Kat on personally escorted Tours. We are sure there will be some cracking stories for you to look forward to.
